A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR ALL PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
As a new practice at the JRMS, there is not a formal parent/ teacher conference day and evening session planned for the current school year. With the implementation of the Web2School Parent Portal and total access to grades and information, it was felt and is encouraged that parents communicate with their child’s teacher on a frequent and as needed basis. Email and voicemail are readily available as well as chunks of time for all teachers during the day or immediately after school hours. There are many opportunities for parents to meet teachers, and I encourage all parents to email me directly if there is an issue to be looked into or if you want me to link you up with a specific teacher or team to help volunteer with or support.
There was limited, yet powerful presence, at the NECAP Celebrations Activity Period and Meet the Principal on October 16th. It was great to see parents along side teachers supporting our children. The dance, karaoke, board games, trivia contest, and outdoor activities were a great success. There are several more opportunities for parents to support in the coming weeks before Thanksgiving. November 23 Noon
Parents Meeting to review standardized testing definitions, present test data, and review the role and understanding that parents have regarding the concepts that make JRMS a school in need of improvement. The goal is to draft a letter for all parents explaining the purpose, terms, and meaning behind all state NECAP scores and NWEA MAPS scores. Please park in parking spaces this day due to afternoon dismissal. Main Office
November 23 Leaving JRMS before 8:00 am
Student Activity Adventure Trip to Rye Skate Park in Rye, NH. Parents will be needed to help chaperone and support this adventure. Contact Mr. Rob Clark if interested.
Special Notes:
All parents are expected to enter the building and check in at the Main Office to sign in and receive visitor pass. Parents should park along cones as you exit the parking lot. These events are intended to lay a foundation of trust and collaboration between the school and parents. Volunteer opportunities may arise and an email will be sent out to solicit support at that time.
